Registration statuses on UNGM (the UN procurement platform)

UNGM is the official procurement portal of the United Nations system. UNGM brings together UN procurement staff and suppliers interested in working with UN companies.

After registering at the Basic Level, the application process begins. You can track the progress of the review through changes in statuses in the My submission statuses section, the meaning of which will be discussed below. Some of them require special attention because they demand certain actions from the applicant.

The following statuses are established on the UNGM platform:

Submitted

This status means that the UN organisation has received the information about the supplier submitted via the registration form.

In progress

This status indicates that the registration form is currently being reviewed by the relevant UN organisation. Once this status has been assigned, no changes can be made to the form. The review and decision-making process can take up to 10 working days.

Supplier to update

This status means that the information has been reviewed and assessed by the relevant UN organisation, but was found to be insufficient or outdated. In this case, a letter will be sent to the supplier’s contact email address informing them of the necessary changes. After the changes are made, the application will need to be re-submitted.

Re-submitted

This status signifies that the registration data has been re-submitted for evaluation. This process, too, takes up to 10 days.

Registered

This status means that the supplier is registered in the system. From now on, the supplier’s profile will be visible to UN agencies’ staff searching for potential suppliers.

However, registration does not imply that a supplier has been prequalified – this is a separate procedure.

Unmatched

This status signifies that the supplier’s profile no longer meets the requirements of the relevant UN organisations. This happens when these organisations change their requirements or the supplier company revises the range of its goods and services.

Withdrawn

This status means that the registration has been withdrawn by the supplier. After the withdrawal, the application for registration can be re-submitted.

Declined

This status is used to indicate that the supplier has been denied registration. As a rule, such a situation occurs if the supplier’s goods and services do not meet the requirements or nomenclature stated by the relevant UN organisation. Registration may also be rejected if the UN organisation requires supplies or work to be performed in specific regions where the supplier does not do business.

In the event of such a status during the Basic Level registration, suppliers may re-submit the form.
