DLF advised a global techno giant on high-tech banking services in Ukraine
DLF attorneys-at-law, in partnership with a leading international law firm, provided comprehensive advice to a global technology corporation with a turnover of more than one trillion dollars.
The advice concerned complex legal issues related to the implementation of a large-scale project in the field of high-tech banking services in Ukraine.
DLF attorneys-at-law carried out a thorough analysis of the current Ukrainian legislation and potential legal risks and identified viable solutions for the effective implementation of the client’s project in Ukraine.
The project was challenging due to the patchy regulation of relevant services in Ukraine. When implementing advanced technological solutions in such conditions, issues with classification, certification and licensing of such solutions, the procedure for their provision and determination of the status of the provider of such services arise.
In line with the DLF policy, our lawyers also conducted a review of certain legal matters related to the use of the client’s trademarks, interaction with local partners, settlements with end users and counterparties and other legal aspects of the client’s potential business activities within the framework of its project in Ukraine.
The project was led by DLF counsels Iurii Dynys and Yaroslav Anikieiev.
‘Our law firm’s policy regarding relations with clients is based on a deep understanding of their business needs. We work to find legal solutions for the most efficient implementation of our clients’ projects and go beyond the simple description of legal regulation in Ukraine. For us, successful advice is that which allows the client to achieve their project objectives in the most efficient way possible’, says Igor Dykunskyy, LL.M., Partner at DLF attorneys-at-law.
