Introduction of electronic register of apostilles

On 4 November 2015, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted its Resolution No. 890, which established the procedure on electronic register of apostilles.

Pursuant to this Resolution, the apostil on the official documents is made and completed by programming measures of the register in the form of electronic document in accordance with the Hague Convention dated 5 October 1961. Thus, the requirement of legalization of foreign documents is abolished.

Any person can access the register on apostilles via the website administered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. This Resolution became effective on 20 November 2015.
